Pray For Mongolia…
Peter visited this remarkable country abutting China and Russia from October 19th – November 12th last year. He based with friends Richard and Jill Donovan and their son Ronan, working with the US Embassy in Ulan Bator. Along with his old friend, Jeff Howie, from Tyler, Texas, he led two YWAM Training Schools, spoke at a number of Churches, a Prostitutes Collective, and cooked dinner for the US Ambassador and his wife and daughter.
Not so long ago, only four Christians were known to be in Mongolia. Now the estimate is between 30 – 50 thousand, and growing. Social needs are considerable, but the people are warm and receptive. Jeff and I trained a variety of Mongolian Students and were encouraged by their enthusiastic response. Every one wanted prayer, including the kitchen staff!
Pray for Norway…
Rarely in the news, the world has been shocked by the slaughter of so many young people at a camp just outside of Oslo, by a deluded young man on a rampage.
Then, they are in the news again, for an attack by a Polar Bear on a camp of young British Explorers on Svalbard, that left one dead and several injured.
For many years, I travelled extensively in Norway, helping the emerging Churches there, and wondered at one time if I should move there. These events are startling for the peace loving and God fearing Norwegians. They need our special intercession at this time.
